Sun 06 Sep 09: Little London Rifleman v Destiny [+3 points] - Away win was awarded (Walk Over)

Sun 01 Nov 09: Rodley Barge 0 - 1 Royal Oak: A tough match for both teams due to the weather. The Barge had a hard time before the game due to five star players missing. With no subs all the team played the full 90 minutes. A tired barge side struggled to make a break but our new player steve put in a sterling effort up front and was unfortunate to find the back of the net. The Oak fired a goal in in the middle of the second half to give them there first win of the season.

Sun 08 Nov 09: (Cup Match) Old Bridge 2 - 4 Rodley Barge: One of the hardest matches this season with Old Bridge not losing a game all season, and doing the treble last year, it was always going to be a massive test for us. Early on in the first half Old Bridge showed why they were top of the premier division, lots of well timed passes and tackles and slotted in two rather early goals. The Barge battled on knowing the skill of the home side and pulled back two goals before half time.
After a half time talking to by good old Joe Dix the Barge went into the second half knowing they could win this. With the score two a piece, both sides itched for the goal but were unfortunate not to find the back of the net. A few bad offside decisions by the ref started upsets and tention on and off the pitch but Barge battled well. Ten minutes to go and efforts increase seeing steve walk the ball round the keeper to take us in the lead. Straight after the kick off Barge played like they were two nil down and played ernie into a great position to bang in the final goal.

Sun 15 Nov 09: Little London Rifleman 2 - 2 Rodley Barge: A dryer Sunday compared to the previous few but still a damp pitch. Barge started out once again will a few key players out and an early blow in defence in the first half. Fifteen minutes into the game and Thornton had to be substituted due to a hamstring trouble. This been the first time the Barge have been without a main defended since the start of the season. The game carried on regardless and the defence held there own with breaks from Little London coming quick. Barge battled on with chances from the Cuban Rob Isles and new forward Steve. A back pass to Little Londons keeper awarded us with an indirect free kick in the box which Stu slotted away perfectly to give us the lead but it was short lived when the Rifleman hammered one back to level things. Second half brought lots of chances again but neither side could find the net. With great football been played the Barge get a corner awarded. The ball floated into the box and Mr Isles pulled off an amazing scissor kick to bury Barges second. Too busy enjoying the lead the Barge fell asleep for a minute and Little London once again pulled one back. Great performance by the boys again and some real potential growing as a team.

Sun 22 Nov 09: Rodley Barge 1 - 4 Queenwood Rangers: A terrible condition to play in this week. With the ref undecided whether to play or not due to the pitch looking like a swamp, kick off was late. A minute silence was put in in memory of the Barge D.J. (Keith) just before kick off aswell. Kick off started Queenswood showed why they were top of the league. Tough conditions for both with the ball having no bounce at all and players not able to pick up speed it looked like an ice rink. Queenswood got an early goal in the first half followed swiftly by a second. The Barge responded with Tim's lob over the keeper, but this was short lived when the away side slotted in a penalty which was too far for Simo to reach. A thankful half time whistle blew for the lads to gather some strength. Second half was more of a battle with the pitch completely torn up. Thornton managed to hit the cross bar for a Barge corner and Rob Isle had one or two chances but it just wasn't the Barge's day when Queenswood added insult to injury and slotted home the final goal.

Sun 13 Dec 09: Royal Oak 1 - 2 Rodley Barge: Due to a few week of match cancels with the pitches in a state, The Barge were ready to tackle there biggest rivals The Royal Oak. A cold start to the day but the pitch conditions were up to scratch. The Barge started the first half strong and battled well even though the oak fans put us under pressure with pathetic school boy chants. Both sides were unlucky to find the net in the first 45 minutes. With a talk at half time the Barge seemed strong enough to ignore the other side and to hit them hard. Straight from the whistle a few hard tackles went in which upset the home side and caught them off balance for us to have more chances on the net. We grabbed a great one man effort goal from Tom Waites to get the Barge fans singing. Without dropping back to defend we battled staight back in to land another on the home side. With the Oak fans worried the Barge made a slip up and allowed the Oak to bring one back but it wasn't good enough to stop our lads and we fully deserved the win.
